The short answer is anywhere! You are free to have a funeral ceremony indoors or outdoors, at home, on the beach, in the woods, in a hall, in a hotel, in a church, chapel or other house of worship – wherever feels fitting.

Who can hold the funeral or memorial ceremony?
There are no restrictions about who can hold the funeral ceremony – you can have the Minister or Celebrant of your choice, or a friend or family member. There are several Interfaith Ministers in the Local area who have been trained to create and hold a very personal ceremony and there are also Humanist Celebrants in Elgin and Inverness. There are several Christian Ministers in the Findhorn, Kinloss and Forres area – they are listed in the local telephone directory under Churches and other Places of Worship.
